Subject: Mobility Retirement on July 1st for TYE and Yardmaster Employees – Update 06/05/19

All,

Just wanted to send out an update to all that we are still on track for a July 1st retirement date for the Mobility website for all TYE and Yardmaster employees. This change will have no effect on TYE and Yardmaster employees current access to anything in the emulator/TSS.

This change will have no effect on the Transportation FLS or Dispatcher users access to the Mobility site. All of the current functions for these users will remain the same.

Below are a few talking points if you received any questions about the upcoming change:

What is happening?

On July 1st of 2019 the TYE and Yardmaster Mobility site will be officially retired for TYE employees and yardmasters. The Workforce Hub is currently available for these employees.

Why is it happening?

This change is happening in conjunction with the Workforce Support TSS Modernization. The new technology that is being developed provides more functions and features to our customers.

How do I access the Workforce Hub?

To access the Workforce Hub go to www.bnsf.com/wfhub . Just type this link into any browser on a mobile, tablet, or desktop/laptop.

We do realize this will be a significant change for our users and we want to make sure the transition is as seamless as possible. Please feel free to share this message with anyone I have forgotten. If you have any questions on this change please let me know. Below is my email and phone number. Thank you all have a safe day!

Miles 05-25-19.pdf

Vancouver long pool calls to add 1 for a total of 26 turns. Deadheads to Vancouver and a few dog catches have raised the miles. I’m sure with MOW and work trains on the Fallbridge we should see more of the same for the next couple months. Plus vacations should pick up towards the end of June.

Subject: Implementing Fuel Conservation Initiatives

This is to communicate reinstating fuel efficiency initiatives on the Fallbridge subdivision.

In support of our 2019 expense reduction goals, Transportation leadership and Fuel Management have jointly identified this subdivision for implementing additional fuel conservation initiatives.

Effective 5/13/2019, locomotive isolation and throttle limiting as instructed on work orders is being restored for trains on the Fallbridge subdivisions to operate at, but not below, their Scheduled HPTs.

In addition, 5/50 throttle limiting is being restored on this subdivision as outlined in ABTH 106.7 item 2. (Note that Z, F, passenger trains, and trains with expedited service banners are exempted from this.  Further, trains using Trip Optimizer in Auto Control will automatically adhere to this limit.)

I appreciate your assistance communicating this to your teams.

Thanks,

Doug.
