Subject: Read if you want to get claims paid

Can you please send this out to all members?

This is a reminder to anyone putting in claims for D/C a train, in switching limits, when the inbound crew has more than 2hrs left to work.  1) I need the crews (or just engineer)name, 2) time left on HOS of the inbound crew, 3) train relieved and time you relieved the crew.  Without ALL this information your claim is likely to be cut due to lack of information.
As a reminder the more info you give the higher the likelihood of getting any claim paid in a conference.  I would much rather have a wordy claim the one that says “did this claiming 100 miles”.  Information is our friend and the more I have the easier it is to back up the claim.  Thank you.

Eric Gruber
